Great Saturday Morning to each.
Just for a moment think back to the beginning of this week. If you could, what thing(s) would you change that you regret doing? It may not be a big deal, but you could have done it a little better or maybe you could have said it a little differently. I think you get the picture I am trying to paint.
Truth is we all probably would like to change something!!!
Looking back beyond this week there is "THE PAST" We all have had a "PAST". Oftentimes the past has hindered you from going forward. The truth is, there are some people who like to remind you and me of our past. Not a very good person to be too close to.
Let me remind you of the Ap. Paul says to us about that.
Phil. 3:13-14---"but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to what lies ahead..."
What a great verse!! You need to memorize that one.
Would you notice, he doesn't tell us to deny the past, just don't let pitstop you from moving forward. That's where a lot of depression, disappointments, and pain come from.
If there is some reconciliation to be done then take care of it and move forward again. Maybe a little or a lot of forgiveness to give or receive. Do it so that it is not a hindrance to your life and ministry.
*When you and I receive Jesus into our lives at Salvation, he releases us from the pressure to make up for past mistakes and failures and begin life anew. That's like a breath of fresh air.
Let's not allow the regrets of days gone by destroy the life that God has for us.
No matter what yesterday brought you, God is a God of restoration,
Satan is a thief but OUR GOD has come to restore what the devil has tried to steal.
SO, here is my challenge to all of us reading this blog---accept God's mercy and forgiveness right NOW, and look forward to the great things He has in store for you today.
