Good Saturday morning
I trust your Christmas time with family was enjoyable.
We are about to end 2025. For many it has been quite a year. If yours was good, then just be grateful and continue living for the Lord. If on the other hand, it was challenging and maybe even difficult don't curse the year and say I am glad 2025 is over.
Here is my thought for you as we end and begin new.
- What have I learned from my experiences from last year? If you have learned little to nothing, then you will probably revisit those same failures in 2026.
Be honest with yourself. If you MESSED UP, admit it.
- What changes do I need to make? Be specific with yourself. Don't be vague, be clear on what you will change and how you will do that.
If you need help, ask someone you trust.
- Be accountable to someone on a regular basis.
As we enter the New Year, we will have challenges that come into our lives. Some are sent by the enemy to block our steps into our God-given assignment and future, while other challenges are sent by God as stepping stones to our next level of service unto God and others. Please learn to discern which is sent by God or the enemy. Respond according---God has given us wisdom and discernment to distinguish one from the other.
John 10:10 reminds us "That the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy, but Jesus has come to give us life and it more abundantly" here's a little hint---Choose life!!!.
But choose life every day. Don't ever think that just because you got victory today, that the enemy will leave you alone. That's a deceptive trick he will use on you if he can.
The antidote is victory every day!!! Wake up in the morning thanking God for victory and joy for that day that you are in. Do it every morning. That will cause you to be dependent on Him daily.
Let's end and begin the year in the same manner---Living and serving God as our testimony of His continual faithfulness to us.
Pastor G
We will share this Lord's day on "Having a Clean Slate." 2 Cor. 5:17 plus many other verses.
***Let's start reading Proverbs again on January 1st. One chapter a day for the entire year of 2026. I guarantee you will be wiser in your decision making.
