Good Saturday morning family....
I want to start by saying that God is and forever will be in control of this world and of your personal life. Read for today and tomorrow Ps. 13. Many of us have felt like David did as he was writing this passage.
How have you responded when things go in directions that you never thought it would. We have all probably been there and if not you may. Preparation is wise.
We all have a tendency to react to situations with our feelings and we wear them on our face. It is natural because we are emotional people. However we cannot allow our emotions to drive us, otherwise we may have some bad outcomes.
God is God in the good times, as well as the bad times. He didn't fall asleep on His watch over us. We may have difficulty in understanding the "WHY" of it, or even the "Timing" of it.
That's where learning to trust God is so vital in this Christian life that we live.
Both in the Old Testament and New tell us that "The Righteous live by Faith". Faith is trusting God regardless. Is that difficult at times? ABSOLUTELY!!! We are still human. Especially when things do not make sense. As we ask our young children to "JUST TRUST ME", God would ask the same.
I have mentioned this thought this morning because we live in the midst of a confused and fallen world. When that happens there will be a mountain load of failings, misjudgments that the government and everyday people make that may affect us. This is what I want you to hold on to---Though you may ask---why doesn't God step in and change things, God is still in TOTAL CONTROL. This is where trust must prevail and we will see the goodness of God.
As we do that, only then can we rest in the midst of our storm.
Until tomorrow---God BEST for you.
Much love Pastor G
