Great Saturday morning to everybody.
While I was in Africa I was not able to see any wild animals. The closest jungle was about 300-400 hundred miles away. But then I came home and one morning I looked out my sliding door and in my backyard I see, a fox with her babies. They were running around having fun with each one.
Yet, in Song of Solomon 2:15 it says, "Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom."
The little foxes in our text do ruin vineyards, but they are also symbolic of things that will come into our lives to try to destroy what God is building up in us. We need to be aware of those things. Because just like little foxes, these little things will creep into our lives and turn things upside down if we are not mindful.
In the spiritual realm "little foxes " will pounce on any and every weakness that we may have.
They take advantage of fear in our lives, times of discouragement, struggle in the marriage or family, or workplace. They will take advantage of every little opening that they can find. And if you let them, they will sniff around until they find that opening in your life and then attack.
HERE is the solution to NOT have those foxes ruin our lives----The woman in the Song of Solomon knew "little foxes" in her life were hindering her from a deeper relationship with God. She knew that she alone could not rid herself of them. So she cries out to God for help, asking Him to catch the foxes so the intimacy would not be ruined. We must do the same!!!
So don't be surprised by the little foxes that come in your life, especially when facing tough times. Ask God to "CATCH" those foxes of weakness, compromise, lack of trust, fear, insecurities and so forth. Add this to it---when those foxes come---just start worshipping the Lord. Let those "foxes" hear those praises, they will run for the hills. Hallelujah!!!
